Rosemary Ruthven M.S. is the curriculum developer and course designer for Active Learning's many programs.
Rosemary has extensive experience in writing, training and consulting for both major public educational organisations and for private companies in the US, Singapore, Thailand, China and Australia. Having worked in a variety of multicultural and bi-lingual settings, her courses and trainings are trademarked as consistently providing:
- Comprehensible input
- Evenly-paced, interactive instruction
- A good balance of theory and practise
- Time for reflection on new learning and its practical applications to a profession
Rosemary was the full-time Curriculum Consultant for one of the largest school districts in California and has instructed, supervised and presented at universities in the US and Australia and at National and International Conferences. In 2004, she authored and co-authored a series of 17 Teacher Reference books called "Write to Know" (Advanced Learning Press).
She continues her practise as a Literacy Specialist and Irlen Screener for Perceptual Dyslexia; diagnosing individual reading problems and designing customised remedial and extension tuition programs for ages pre-school to adult.
